eSticky Plenary Meeting: launch of the prototype in Bologna
The eSticky Plenary Meeting, the meeting organized by all the eSticky partners, will take place over two days, on 28 and 29 September. It will take place in the city of Bologna, precisely in the Luogo Comune location, and then move to the spaces of the Aias Bologna Onlus.
The participating partners who once again want to bring concreteness to the resolution of memory problems, in order to improve the quality of life and the degree of autonomy of those suffering from specific pathologies, are: Home Suite Home, KI-I, University of Cyprus , Harpo, Hassistenz24, Werner Daxberger and X-Visions.
eSticky’s intervention is of a practical and innovative nature rather than theoretical as the objective is to present highly technologically innovative devices that prove to be valid allies of memory. Specifically, the reference is to tools that allow you to remember essential appointments, tasks and social interactions. An objective that will be placed at the center of this meeting.
Below is a first summary of the program which will develop, as anticipated, over two days.
28 September, from 9.00 to 13.00 – Usability Meeting / Final Prototype
The morning of September 28th, following a technical roundtable and a series of insights into the values and mission of eSticky and the peculiarities of the project, will end with the presentation of the prototype designed and created by eSticky.
A prototype that takes into account the needs and requirements of the elderly person and which, therefore, stands out for its simple and highly intuitive structure and graphics. A tool that on a technical level prefers cloud services that simplify the connection and remote management of eSticky displays by the caregiver and family members. As for the battery, each display is based on the Android operating system and is equipped with 3G, WI-FI and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connectivity.
The prototype was the result of a project work package that developed in several phases: management, user involvement, implementation, industrial design, dissemination & exploitation.
28 September, from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm – Home Application Test
One of the most interesting moments from the point of view of innovation, interaction, experimentation and emotion is expected in the afternoon. In fact, you will be able to observe the eSticky device in action. The product will be tested in the spaces of Aias Bologna Onlus.
Aias Bologna Onlus hosts the Center for Research and Innovation WeCareMore (Digital Technologies in Personal Care) which offers consultancy services and co-planning paths to public and private bodies on the use of digital technologies in the care sector to the person. The objective is to support the transformation of the care sector in the era of the digital revolution, developing economically sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life and autonomy of elderly and vulnerable people.
